My Dearest Dragon
My Dearest Dragon,
I am humbled by your ever wise being,
Filled with the light of stardust,
To my very brim.
My eyes luminescent,
My heart unbridled by your kindness,
You have touched my soul with your magic.
I offer you my hand to take,
In a dance among the millions of galaxies,
To laugh and fly in freedom among the universe.
Your warmth has penetrated the cold,
Of the snow falling in the fields,
Breaking through the saddened shell
That I gather around myself this time of year.
And I promise to you, I swear,
That I shall let that warmth survive,
It shall thrive and grow within my heart tenfold.
The light of love found in friendship and among kin,
Kin also found in the spiritual realms -
Shall burn ever bright within my caverns.
For you have lit the flame,
Touched the silver pool of magic,
Awakened the light within.
Forever with respect,
Your Dearest, Lady Fox.
