My Dad

My dad,                                                                                                                                                                                                                         a dear and wonderful man.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  He did not teach me much,                                                                                                                                                                   
he only said one thing.                                                                                                                                                                                           His wisdom was,                                                                                                                                                                                                               "a winner never quits and a quitter never wins."                                                                                                        Words he lived by,                                                                                                                                                                                             words he taught to me.                                                                                                                                                                           Words true years ago,                                                                                                                                                                                words never truer today.                                                                                                                                                                    His words have been there,                                                                                                                                                           when he was not.                                                                                                                                                                                                 My dad's words,                                                                                                                                                                                                     gave me hope when there was none.
