My Country

How can I thank you, my Lord, For having given me a chance To take birth on this holy land? Though many perils it went through, On earth, it’s a perfect heaven. For the world, it’s a ‘Vishwa Guru’! An abode of unity in diversity; Unparalleled by any, in its divinity. No wonder, for others it’s a university! A land of long, ever flowing rivers; Famous for its sages and seers. Known for its sheer peacemongers! Knows not, what deceit is … Its philosophy is more humane. ‘Live and let live’ is in its every vein. Manifested the path of non-violence; It taught to the world the principle, “Truth alone triumphs, not untruth”.
