My Confidence

Strong as steel
A mighty fortress
Your rock
So many times
Lean on me
I will give you
Some of my strength
When you have none
Of your own left
But, don't climb
On top of this boulder
Unless you are going
To respect it's presence
If you have failed her
Humble yourself and
Admit your transgressions
You'll always be forgiven
Sit in awe of the mighty
Treasures that lie here
Take them as you wish
But, always cherish these
Gifts because you will
Never find anything so
Precious and pure again

No more tears
This feminine spirit
Is not broken anymore
No longer in bondage
No longer in chains
My confidence has
Set me free & given
Me the power to stand
On my own two feet
I am going to show
Myself some respect
By not settling for less
By refusing to be abused &
By demanding respect
From everyone I encounter
I am going to show
Myself some love
By refusing to be mistreated
By refusing to be humiliated &
By refusing to be degraded
I will never suffer torment
At another's hands because
My confidence tells me
That I deserve better

I leave no one behind
All those who have
Traveled down this
Road with me are
Welcome to continue
On this magical
Journey with me
If you are too tired
And cannot take
One more step
I will carry you
Until you are able
To leave my arms
I will nurture you
Until you can spread
Your wings and fly
Like a beautiful butterfly
In a springtime garden
Because I love you
Not because I need
To be with you
To you I have just
One humble request
Respect this woman's presence
Treating her like you
Recognize her worth
Because my confidence
Will not let me compromise
My dignity any longer
