My Childhood

Bubble bubble, toiled and troubled
Underwater, Under Siege
I am only me

The undertow isn't water
Suffocated by my own desires
Help me! I fear I don't belong

I am using your air to breathe
I wish to float away
Wanting to be my own me

Sitting in darkness
Hidden from the light
Looking for escape

Your thoughts, my food
But soon it will be time
To learn what to do
