"i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart) i am never without it(anywhere i go you go) ee cummings let me tell you a story ... the above quote perfectly describes my thoughts of my family gone above and after many deaths of my beloved family I have developed an odd captivation for cemeteries loving the ultimate peace found amongst the swaying trees and hidden birds singing scurry litte creatures and the withered flowers left to decay the tombstones and graves my family is buried in the oldest cemetery in our city that is about 200 years old it is full of decaying headstones some are blank now the engraving has faded to nothing others with names and dates faint many are broken and fallen over but the ones that are readable I find fascinating in loving memory I read I can tell how much they were loved bible verses added at times and I adore the angel statues everywhere some moss drapped for miles among the huge old trees are paths I wander and ponder loving to go in the rain, the snow and when leaves are stained glass beautiful it all fills me with a writing passion I stop at a pond to rest watching the fish drift and float one can just breathe in the sereniy and tranquility call me odd but this is where I go to find utter peace

I can understand the love and peace in a cemetery. Reading tombstones is very much like meeting new people. It is interesting to discover the history of a community.

In the cemetery in London where my wife and mother are buried is a grave stone I always read when I visit it says. "Boast not reader of thy might, alive by day yet dead by night, thy life hangs by a single thread, no sooner broke than we are dead ".
