My Callie Cat

Two pets I’ve had who broke my heart, and one - a naughty little dog was he; for that I think when everything is said and done, he may not wear a halo! But my cat for sure is sitting by God’s throne, and she has on a halo, for while in our home, she was the best of any cat to me! So loyal she was. She’d never roam beyond the door. She wanted to be right there with us everywhere that we would go. Nearby my pillow mornings and each night, she’d sweetly purr. That cat, I loved her so! Callie was so special. I’m sure somehow she’s sprouted wings and is an angel now. Aug. 11, 2020 For the "All Pets Go To Heaven" Poetry Contest Sponsor: Constance La France

I'm sure Callie is polishing her halo! Paula brought up the Rainbow Bridge. It is a deeply touching poem. When I think of our pets who have left us I have a picture of our guys waiting! Congratulations on your top win, Andrea!

Even though the Bible does not state that pets will be in Heaven, it does mention animals in Heaven. So I am certain you will see Callie again. Good luck in the contest.

I remember you telling me about Ollyver before. It will be great to see Dale again and yes, your dad without the burden he had here on Earth.

My dad too I will want to see and excited to know if he will at last be his "real" self that I never knew due to his mental illness.

well there ya go!! If animals are there, that means pets to ME. Ollyver visited me on his way out of earth (my little Eskimo dog) I am sure he is waiting for me. I think he and my brother DAle are the two I am most excited to see. Fortunately nobody else that I was really close to on earth have died yet besides those two.

Wouldn't it be great if we were reunited with pets like Callie in heaven? She sounds like a wonderful pet, Andrea. Nicely written for Constance's contest! Best wishes for success, Carolyn
