My Broken Soul

Future soul needs saved, by a ghost from her past Caring and loving presence, a spirit none can surpass A being that needs that touch, advise from back in the day An essence that left this earth One that forgave ones misguided ways Fool who made many wrong descions, needs daddy's strong embrace Comforted with a "Daddy knows!" Arms that kept her safe Need of my essence saved, take it when next you go Wrapped in a fathers love, beg you to keep me whole How will we meet again, if I'm damaged once more Your baby girl needs you, so please save my broken soul

This is very touching, reached out and grabbed my emotions, I don't have kids but I was a kid looking for a fathers love, so it did have an impact on me.

This beautiful poem definitely reaches in and touches the heart of the reader. The sadness and the longing are deeply felt. The need for that strength, that comfort and that assurance cries from your words Brenda. The emotions in this are incredibly felt.

So sad for me... It seems just "haunting" I suppose. You definitely penned a graceful and enchanting poem, yet still so sad :(. Blessings to you
