Notes About The Poem

My Bowl Is Always Full

My Bowl Is Always Full

      It’s another thing to think
Your mind is flipping; mine flipped
      A long time ago.
(Great minds think alike;
      Fools seldom differ.)

      I eat, poop, and sleep
Just like a seagull.
      And when I’m not
Eating, pooping, or sleeping, I squawk,
      Just like a seagull.

      From a dog’s point of view,
“I get up and eat, and then I go out
      To poop and bark and come back in.
My bowl is always full.”
