Notes About The Poem

This was someone's actual meat at a school cafeteria!!

MEAT SLUDGE. YUM!

Served at a 3-star restaurant. OMG      

Meat Jelly How delectable!

Before there were hamburgers, steak tartare:

Saw others too disgusting to show here, but here is one that takes the cake!

And finally, the one that made me throw up at Mom's dinner table:

But maybe I would rather eat liver than the other ones above! I decided not to show the dogs and poor monkeys people are eating.

 

My Blue Cheese Is Gross Meat

Red meat is fine, and burgers I adore,
but meat that is disgusting I deplore.
To eat pigs’ feet or some poor creature’s brain
I think a person has to be insane.
A friend of mine once asked me eagerly
to try her meat dish, but I could not see
that smothered in its sauce were slabs of fat
still on the meat! When I bit into THAT,
I had to leave the room to spit it out.
I’d rather have to eat a brussel sprout!
But worst is liver. Just a slither of IT,
and for sure, you’re going to see me vomit!

Line Gauthier April 10, 2018 at 6:05 PM I can relate, Andrea. I remember being sick as a dog after eating at a friend's house - she had not degreased the meat in her moussaka. I thought I was going to die. Of course, I didn't get sick till I got home so she never knew... I was kinda wished she got as sick as me! Meow! Andrea Dietrich April 10, 2018 at 6:13 PM hahaha. Actually I have never been a big fan of meat. I only like a very well done cheeseburger or steak. Even fish and chicken do not thrill me very much!

Now back and laughing at your poem and myself! Yours was indeed a convincer, left no doubt about how you feel and don't feel. Mom once stuffed a cow's brain with cabbage and Pig's Feet were a staple on our frig door. You don't want to know that I often crave tripe! Are u a total vegetarian? I'm going to have nightmares about the yellow snake-looking meat pic! Enjoyed, mostly-CayCay
