I enjoy reading through the New Poems List
Skipping only those who’ve proven a waste
Naming even ten, so many would be missed
I could never perform this exercise posthaste.

I find gems in the poetry of at least forty-three
Some of the best are naughty, others chaste,
Occasionally I find one worthy of a grand prix.

There's no way I'd list names of just a few when there are so many equally disserving. Not to hurt anyone's feelings or insult them, I'm not writing for that contest. It should be contested, and tell me this... How is he supposed to judge such an opinionated bunch of entries? Will he base it on HIS favorites? It's evasive, yes, but I'm not about to name three poets on the Soup that I think are best, period. That would hurt a lot of people's feelings, since I am in regular touch with many, many poets on the site whom I consider to be friends.
