I enjoy reading through the New Poems List Skipping only those who’ve proven a waste Naming even ten, so many would be missed I could never perform this exercise posthaste. Milt, being evasive, as Jo called you is a good trait from my point of view. There's no way I'd list names of just a few when there are so many equally disserving. Not to hurt anyone's feelings or insult them, I'm not writing for that contest. It should be contested, and tell me this... How is he supposed to judge such an opinionated bunch of entries? Will he base it on HIS favorites?

Beats me, Jenna. It's just not a well-thought-out idea or contest. I can't begin to figure how he would come up with placements!

Thanks, Jo. It's evasive, yes, but I'm not about to name three poets on the Soup that I think are best, period. That would hurt a lot of people's feelings, since I am in regular touch with many, many poets on the site whom I consider to be friends.
