My Beloved Sweet Girl

Your tail kept wagging all the while
as I held back my tears and forced a smile.
I am about to watch you die.
The last thing that you see will not be me
breaking down and cry.
With your chin in my hand I stroke your head
and with a smile on my face softly to you I said,
"Whose my good girl? You're my good girl!
You're my good girl and you rock my world!
You're about to go to a most magnificent place
where you can do as you please anytime always.
All the dogs that you never got to socialize with
are all waiting to greet you doing back flips.
They'll keep you in constant playful company
until that fateful day arrives when you once again greet me.
You'll never know how much joy you brought into my otherwise dark, dreary world.
I'll Forever Cherish, Love and Miss You My Beloved Sweet Girl.

*Rest In Peace My Beloved Darling*

I did the same thing before having to put my pet to sleep, so I understand your need to write this, it is hard, and remember, Bill, to not grief is to never have known love~~

Aww Billy! I had to come back after I saw your blog because when I first read this I thought otherwise! Well, I know she really doesn't want to go that's why she's still holding on, Billy. I'm glad you can be there with her now. Take care Billy. Love, Annalise

The above was written due to anticipatory grief.

As of this posting, Tasha is as well as can be expected. She's receiving what she needs to receive medication wise. She happily settles for me stroking her, rubbing her belly and talking soothingly to her, but her youthful spirit is gone. It's now just a matter of making the rest of her life as comfortable for her as I possibly can, which is my #1 priority until she has to go...which doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to happen tomorrow, but it's obvious what's due to occur next.

Deart Billy, I am so sorry about Tasha. This is a lovely tribute and I know she felt your love even at the end of her life. Soup Mail. Much love, Audrey

Oh dear, Billy, If this is something that has just taken place...I am so very sorry for your loss. This is one that brings tears, and I feel the pain of such a loss. One of which I am familiar...and it never gets easier. God Bless. love, Carrie
