My Battle With Time

My Battle With Time You came into my life - when my time is running short. I got nothing to offer you, but what is left of my life. My battle with time - I know I can not win. No one can win the battle with time. Time always has the upper hand. How I wish that I could buy lots of time and spend it all with you, but not even a millionaire has been able to buy a second more of time. When your time is up - it's up. It is better late than never, so I welcome any time that I can spend with you. I will just promise to love you for whatever time I have left. I won't try to fight this battle - I know I can not win. When the clock starts going slow, I will know, my time is near. Something will tell me it's over. I will just say - good bye my love. My time is up and I must go...

It is funny how my thoughts were in the same place today. Looking at pictures of my past made me realize how old I am getting. We do not get a minute more or a minute less and when our time is done it is done. Love the poem. love phyl

I do so relate to this poem Lucilla! One wave of time after another runs through my being, leaving little ripples here and there upon my face.I try to smile a lot so people won't be taken back by my resting face. The real stuff of life is inside of course but that Takes time . Still whatever is left is better spent loving than woring. How ever short the time fill it with quaity moments, days , years. Always my best wishes to you;Michael

A lot of painful truths here. But, we either do good with the time we have or don't. Either way, time wins. Nice work!

A touch of saddness..When we are young time is on our side..If we make a mistake there is a chance that we can get it right another time around but when we get old time is not on our side for the end is nearer than the day before and there might not be enough time to get it right..Enjoyed reading your very thoughtful work..Thanks for the visit to my page..Still feeling ill..Sara

Time is our best friend and our worst enemy, if we accept it less we would suffer! Enjoy the time left by writing marvelous pieces of poetry like this one!

I can personal relate to this poem. Time is attention Time is connecting One Person with another. Time is Something that builds Together its call “Connecting” to build upon. You can not form a relationship by being distance. A Friendly Reminder “ Rome Was Not build over Night” You have to plant a seed and let grow it’s call Time process and Growth. Learn how to adapt

We must surrender to father time and allow ourselves to live within its unforgiving grasp through the inevitable presence! You must make the best of the time that is allotted you, you will leave the realm of time eventually, just don't dwell on when that will come! As long as you have the Lord with you and in your heart you will do just fine! That's how I've lived and I have done wonderfully, sure there are hard times, but overall it been awesome, Great Work!!

An old friend of mine used to call time, The Enemy', he shout over to me, 'Hows the Enemy' lol, it is unforgiving, unbending, and the ultimately the boss, We must make the best of what he gives us Lucy. Your writes are always a joy to read. Take care, Richard

- "Do not wait until tomorrow" is a poem I wrote to my mother after she died. - For many years she thought about death and "forgot" to live .... that is so sad to think about. - The poem is written 01.10.2012 - Page 4 - read it if you have time. :)))) // Anne-Lise :)
