My Autumn Romance

It is beautiful But at heart it is pitiful and saddening. The leaves are in colours of Orange and yellow and red But they will fall Eventually. Given a bit of time, They will Die,
But even as The world around them crumbles There, behold, Two leaves hang from a dead branch. Dying? Yes. Wilting? Yes. But they remain attached. The cruel gusts will soon cause both To meet the ground — death, But they hold on to one another Steadfast Until they crumble and fade from existence.
