My Anchor
Let's me sail free, yet holding me together tight
Stays firmly grounded, for me, to attain horizons bright
All through the rough rains, gives me all my might
In the insane winds lets me realise to set my sails right
Silently promising me safety, in the moonless dark night
The love unconditional that holds me sane in the plight
Bound to me all along; in my misery and delight
Caring for me like a baby, never letting me out of sight
Away fighting the storms, guarding me ever, like a knight
Yet at the slightest distress, beside me winning my fight
Calming my anxious nerves with his steady quite
Though weighing down with all his bulk, keeps me cool and light
In the lone seas holding my life out to him with trust forthright;
My Anchor is the reason I see hope of new day at every twilight...
