Notes About The Poem

Line Gauthier, Bitesize 143

My Anchor

My anchor spot on, where I’m rooted, in the midst of the sea.
Blue skies blather above me, shimmer of sun, birds fly, fish swim.
Beyond bulkheads, undertow, the spirited treasures arise.

This one reads like a great day out on the water. I am glad that it was a nice, calm day with the offer of treasures. Sara K.

The imagery superb! Wondering if you wrote this on your Navy tour? It's beautiful, Kim. Had to lookup bulkheads.

Anaya, how wonderful that you remember I was a sailor. Perhaps, my love started there, but the cruises and travel and time brings about these. Thank you, my friend!
