My ancestral house

In every thick and thin, you stood with me.
We have, together, made a happy home.
Sleeping and waking in you, I felt glee.
You withstood each seasonal syndrome.

You went through extreme thunder and lightning.
Earthquakes and tsunamis shook your foundations.
Whenever tornados seemed frightening,
You enwrapped me with hope-affirmations.

Bits of compassion existed between us.
You shielded me. I mended you when needed.
There never was, between us, any fuss.
We never left each other's needs unheeded.

I hope you live and thrive for years to come.
May our existence together be blithesome!
