This is delightfully mischievous free verse: the lavishly abstract phrasing creates a mock-grand seriousness, then “I blushingly will” lands as a perfectly poised, funny acceptance. The title neatly completes the joke, giving the tiny poem a charmingly formal, friendship-inflected flourish.
