Musing

In the daylight,
I see you
With broad strength,
Carry your children,
Gather words
To feed the financial machine,
Run, fight, skate
On ice so thick,
A thousand fires would freeze.

In the night-time,
I follow your eyes
To uncovered places,
Where taste and scent
Push out from the sheets
Through a window,
Whose pane
The moon could not break,
To turn old light into stars.
