Music's Storm
Music's storm blows my way,
has swept me off my feet.
My captive heart carried off
by motion overrun.
Caught, contorted flung apart,
my thoughts seized and broken.
On my spine a finger plays
and ecstasy alights.
By flying notes I'm carried –
blocks of chords surround me.
A climax now mounting,
my heart gathered to its peak,
its fullness, I am poised,
floating in its glory.
Love expressed, like drenching rain,
my porous heart soaks up.
Seated on descending scales
I am set down at rest.
