Notes About The Poem

Music Time Machine

If there could be a magic hill
                                                        to take me back in time
     I'd find out who discovered rhythm -
                                                    who invented rhyme,
          and who created melody
                                                and harmony sublime,
               or ensemble's and orchestra's
                                            sweet sounding paradigm.
                    Their names engraved in some lost cave -
                                        if it were not a crime,
                         I'd happily explore such cave,
                                    such hill I'd gladly climb,
                              to know those who so gifted us,
                                and sound a grateful chime.

WEll, in the intellectual journals, etc. this is a wonderful poem, John. I wrote names of everyone I needed to comment back to and your comments to me scrolled away already. i just can't keep up any more. Wanted to tell you. our dear dog died and it put hubbie into a tailspin of depression. but yesterday we got a kitty. OH MY, he is SO cute. White and with blue eyes American curl cat!
