Muse Made the Wait Poetic
I went out once for a relaxed walk in the evening
My pace was in sync with the silently sinking sun
My wife texted she went for a brief bout of shopping
And would surely come back home before I return.
I came back after an extended time not so quick
Found the door locked for she hadn’t yet returned
Probably was held captive on the road by the traffic
This made me realize how our times’ wheel turned.
I sat tired in the dark on the steps of the closed door
Tried to find such incident in the memory lane prime
Finding none I told my impatient mind getting sore
Think of a poem on things happening for the first time.
Locked out by modern mode of uncertain life frenetic
My muse had fun to make the eternal wait poetic.
