Mum's the Word
Watching cartoons on Television
No one could block my vision
Mum needed her afternoon nap
So she would press the mute button.
One day mum started shouting
I had not done my home work
I was sad and started pouting
I ran and got the remote
And pointing it towards
My mums open mouth
I kept pressing the mute button
We understood one another
Both now silent and sullen.
