Notes About The Poem
Today would have been my mums 93rd birthday wrote this song for her in heaven Today been bit emotional day.
Listen to poem:

Mum I miss you everyday

For mum I’m sending love
To heavens shore
Missing you after nearly 11 years
I still reach for you
I’ve little good news
Especially 11th August
Mums birthday
Christmas time mum loved the season
I keep your favourite feeling in room
Like a light i carry when day feels new
Wanna share something good with mum
I smile first ~ and then ache a little
Then I look up softly and say
Please let her know
Please let her know
The feeling is missing you
The feeling is missing you
When a robin appears out of nowhere
I know ~ you are near
I know you are near
Sending love to heavens shore
Missing you after nearly 11 years
A robin appears and for a split second~ i cant breath
Like you left ~sign in the hedge
Right where my heart can find it
Wanna say something good to mum
Smile first ~ then ache a little
Then look up softly and say
Please let her know
Please let her know
The feeling is missing you
The feeling is missing you
When a robin appears out of nowhere
I know your near ~ know your near
Sending love to heavens shore
Missing you after nearly 11 years
On 11th August Mums birthday
Im thinking of you
At christmas time~ mum loved the season
II’ll keep the tree bright for you
The feeling is missing you
The feeling is missing you
When a robin appears out of nowhere
I know you are near
I know you are near
Sending love to heavens shore
Missing you after nearly 11 years

I was drawn to the title of the poem as I knew, you would be expressing the same genuine feelings as I have for my mother. I always feel that the strongest bond in the world is the one between a mother and her child. It is a love that keeps growing even in her absence and more as we ourselves become mothers. My mother was the greatest lady in my eyes.. This is something most children feel about their mothers. Unlike me, my mother was a pillar of strength and a lady of great qualities. Love this beautiful tribute, dear Dorothy

I'm crying. My Mom was 90 on 8-8 so we both know the love of a Leo Mom. It's my Daddy (8-7, he was) that has led me to write many poems, tear bringers, grief stringers, like this. He died at just 67, when Mom was 62. I feel you. My Dad did come to me about 18 months after death so the Robin could have meaning you would 'feel -know'. Loss from death is a universal sorrow/acceptance that only the unfeeling aren't aware of. Beautiful rendering of love, devotion, memories and missing. Poignant. CayCay

Thanknu Cay Cay for your kind thoughts I was playing my song to mum on 11th her birthday in my garden . Out of nowhere a robin appeared on bench next to me . So tame sat for few mins looking into my eyes and flew away. I sure felt the love ❤️ 🌹

Dear Dorothy, Your mother will be proud of you today, for all that you are, how kind and caring you are, how strong you are , and ofcourse How talented you are’ beautiful song and poem! Sometimes I look at the sky ~ see the clouds move, and think of all those who are in heaven, left too early, in my life. Your poem, so sincere and soulful moved me. I can understand why its an emotional day. Sending you light always ~ 💫🌙

This is so beautifully emotive, Dorothy. What coincidences. Today is my sister in law's birthday and my own mother is 93 this year. Did she have you young? That would make you and I about the same age . I think repeating some of the important lines was an effective way of emphasizing how much you miss her ❤️
