Multi-Legs Bug Me

Simple bugs that can fly through the air
Like a bee, ladybug- they don't scare.
Multi-legs frighten me
From all spiders, I flee
Centipedes make me jump on a chair!

Many legs that can race cross the floor
Bring a fear that I cannot ignore.
When they fast run away
This sure ruins my day-
They can hide to alarm me once more!

I lived in St Croix once and we had poisonous centipedes, (the Amazonian Giant Centipede), that were over a foot long and as big around as a broomstick ... I hated them, lol. Thankfully I never got bitten, for while they can't kill a human, the bite is excruciating and causes flu-like symptoms. They are carnivores and eat frogs, snakes, mice, lizards, birds, and even bats. Nice write.
