Much Worse Than Covid-19

Think like a wise academic
To find a disease that’s systemic
Disinformation
Is killing this nation
And is the demon pandemic

Author's note: Of course, why people believe the disinformation is another matter. Are we looking for confirmation or willing to consider information that does not fit our bias?

Yes, we are in trouble. We'll get to see how this works out over the next several years. It may surprise us. Who knows?

Scott thank-you for the comment. I just looked at your garden project. Nice work there and a great description.

Disinformation depends on which side is telling the story, so not knowing your "side" I guess I can't say how I feel about this poem, but I do enjoy its form and rhyme!

Andrea, I'm thinking it's a matter of how the facts line up in general after looked at critically. The side does not matter--only the truth matters and seeking it no matter what it says.

Hello Duke ... this electronic age has a lot to answer for but of course many only believe in what they want to believe not whether it's the truth or not - thanks Duke - Lindsay

Yes that says something about the future we can expect. Not going to be smooth, but we can have hope for the facts.

Interesting thought, Duke. I am inclined to think that disinformation is the plague in our day and time. It is so difficult to "consider information that does not fit our bias" but so essential to the well-being of all. Nice work. I appreciated your pen.

Yes confirmation bias. A plague on our nation given today's circumstances, bots, and media. It's hard to know how to break this chain.
