Mr President
Mr. President
Poise, grace, calm, cool and collected
Standing tall in the nation among nations
At times disrespected,
call him what you may
He is still standing tall at the end of the day.
Nothing is going to change the fact
That he is a political genius and yes he is Black.
He’s Black, White and Brown,
Holding this country down. Seldom do you see a frown.
Highly educated and widely celebrated
To our country he is loyal and greatly dedicated.
The challenges to the office is vast and critical
The playing field would be level if the issues were just political
But small minded people biggest issues are racial
They chant I want my country back
What other president has gotten this flack.
To lead us he has to walk through a mind field.
Many people don’t want to yield.
But that’s ok. This is the USA.
We have the choice of voting our way.
He’s up against birthers’ rumors
And racial tumors.
Born on US soil,
going through bigotry and turmoil
He didn’t dodge the draft
He has a silent and quick wrath.
He is making decisions,
Despite the country’s political divisions.
Compassionate for his country
Nothing will change the fact that he is making history
Call him this, and call him that. Discuss his origination
Nothing will change the fact that in 2008 – 2012 he is president of this
great nation.
Judge him on principles and decisions made
Not by your small mentality and prejudicial ways.
He is standing strong, standing tall
Representing this country,
Thinking of us all.
Dealing with oil spills
And health care bills
A war in Iraq and Afghanistan
He even dealt with Bin Laden in Pakistan.
He wakes up running attacking the issues at hand
He’s an awesome man;
the leader of this great land.
