Mr. Mankind
Hello, how are you?
There's something urgent I need to say
Oh me? Well, I'm fine too
But I'm not the reason I've called you today.
It's our feral brothers,
They're crying, and are all around us dying
Even Mother Earth cries out!
Can't you hear her? That's her now crying
She cries out her warning shouts!
Our brothers suffer,
On your roads, and around your homes
And in your poisoned streams,
If you leave them no where else to roam
They'll soon vanish from the scene!
Mother Earth cries,
Oceans of tears through thawing ice
Soon, her crying will be done,
And the weather here won't be so nice
Once the new ice age has begun.
Save our brothers,
You are their keeper!
They're our earthling friends
And yet, you keep pushing them deeper
Into obscurity, and then right to their end!
Once they're gone,
Then we'll soon be next
It'll be our turn on the guillotine!
Stepping up to stretch out our necks!!
We'll be the next to vanish from the scene!!!
What was that?
Oh yes, I know it's hard
To manage all the things you do,
And, I probably should have dropped a card
I'm sorry, if I've bothered you.
Oh, the kids?
They're doing just fine,
I just wanted to bring that up to you
I figured it must have just slipped your mind
With the many things that you do.
Take care now,
And do try to be good,
And while doing those things you do
Keep our brothers like a good keeper should
And remember that they do live here too!
