Brian Strand recently announced that he was stepping back from sponsoring poetry contests on Poetry Soup. Many of us have enjoyed his contests and have benefited as recipients of his placements, honorary mentions, and even his N/As. This poem was written as a thanks to Brian for all he has contributed to the world of poetry. Thank you, Mr Brian Strand!

"For He's a Jolly Good Fellow" is a popular song that is sung to congratulate a person on a significant event. The tune is of French origin and dates at least from the 18th century.
