Moving On
Entering the door
Mind like a child
Trusting and believing
Imagination wild
Blinded by seduction
Excitement takes hold
Willing to chance
On stories untold
Mornings became bright
Happy days and nights
Just knowing we can
With or without tights
Tried and tested we
Adventure inspired
Hiding from reality
Both were over wired
Our tender moments
Memories made
Caused a flutter
A raging tyrade
Beauty and passion
Wonderful combination
Then distance came
A huge revelation
Changes slowly
Creeping starts to show
All that we'd shared
Blow after blow
It's a circus out there
Clowns and ringmasters
Pure of heart
Lured to disasters
Words became empty
Repetive like a song
Without actual contact
We became wrong
No cake and eating
Ultimatum offered
Deaf ears those words
No longer bothered
With head held high
Hair glowing bright
Happiness returning
Refusing to fight
