Movie Afternoon Love

Movie Afternoon Love The young may dream of green fruited love, Love, unripe, that wants to belong; Love that seems unselfish to please, Long kisses, starched aprons, Movie afternoon love. Burt Reynolds’ features; Elizabeth Taylor’s grace, Angels singing among wispy clouds, then “The End” forever after bliss, Movie afternoon love. Oh, that mind and heart might weave, And reality crescendo like symphonic violins, Into that “I love you love me love you harmony. Fulfilling all lost longings of Movie afternoon love.

I still love the old classics, and Elizabeth Taylor, Burt Reynolds, Sean Connery, Audrey Hepburn, I loved the matinee shows. This lovely poem of yours is fragrant with romance and nostalgia. Beautiful

Still hoping beyond or in spite of 'lost longings', maybe because the thought is irresistible. I love this poem that still has me ponder:) Amitiés

Ambiguity, mixed with snippets of flash back, contrived confusion and insight, guide the reader through this thought provoking trip through the looking glass while testing realities boundaries, and love's infatuation. Emile.
