Mountebank

Your deception 
was easy
with smoothness 
like a chiffon cake
you devoured me
bite by marvelous bite
you tasted sweet
savoring
my innocence
melting 
the rest of me
in the heat of desire
like a decadent desert
until not a crumb
remained.
