Motives

I always question why I want to do this?
Why do I spent hours figuring out how to make a full-time living as a poet.
Should I be doing this as a profession?
Is questions I have on a regular basis.

I admit I have selfish reasons on why I'm doing this, but I wouldn't still be passionate about poetry if I was doing it solely for money.
Especially when people told me I wasn't going to made a living off of it.

I know I can serve people, I can change lives, I can be a blessing to others.
I know I'm doing something greater by just using my gift the why God intended for me to use it.

I check my motives to make sure I'm able to handle abundance because so many of us want abundance but not use what we have.

First of all its crazy cool that you admit that you have selfish reasons for doing this. Poems can serve people for me at least the "service" is a helping bowl of inspiration.
