Motivated By a Lot of Things

I'm motivated by a lot of things, but getting up too early is not one! I really hate when the alarm clock rings and knowing that my dreaming time is done. God's beauty can inspire my poetry. I'm motivated by a lot of things: by flowers in my yard; my pretty tree; the sky at sunset; how a robin sings. I love the season spring's first blossomings and all the "firsts" that give to life its zest! I'm motivated by a lot of things. The start of all my weekends I like best! I hate when good times end. I need to know around the corner there are new beginnings to keep me wanting to get up and go! I'm motivated by a lot of things. July 20, 2021 for A Brian Strand Rime Me Poetry Contest

Reads like a good contender to me. Way to go for the contest. I used to say a lot, " a person isn't lazy they are just not motivated to work". All the time in life motivation makes a difference. Thanks for the visit to my page and no my poem was not for a contest. Sara

I, too, am seldom ready to get up when the alarm rings. I sleep late every morning. I earned that privilege in retirement. Lovely poem, Andrea. I, too, am motivated by lots of things, but one of them is not the sun staring at me through the bedroom blinds!

I wake at six in the morning, otherwise, I won't have time to read poems. But motivation is very low for me. Though I found a dehydrated orchid and spend the morning trying to revive it, It will take time though.
