Mother's Day

Mother, you have a way about you that words cannot discribe. All my thoughts and intentions in you I can confide... Your door is always open as you lend your listening ear. For your words are full of wisdom and each day you grow more dear.. You taught me to love the Lord and was patient when I strayed away. Your thoughts and prayers were with me each and every new passing day... And when it was time to come back to you, your arms were opened wide. For my mother's love is eternal and will be forever at my side... I thank the Lord each day for the mother He's given to me. And someday when you are gone, there in heaven I know you will be... The memories of you I'll cherish, and I'll long to see you again. For someday I'll be there with you in the kingdom that has no end.

After finding out my mother had brain cancer I wrote this poem for her for Mother's Day. I wanted to give her something special to show her my love and appreciation for her. Sadly she lost her battle to cancer so the poem meant the world to her before she passed away. My sisters insisted to display the poem at her funernal. I hope it will be blessing to others as well.
