Motherland, My Love Is Fine And Grand

A pity I couldn't comprehend
What is happening to my homeland?!
Utter disarray harming my stand
Lives in the clutches of evil hands
The paths we are to walk have no ends
Face demons or bury heart in sand
Bend to the will, the risk in the wind!
To whom would I spill my reprimand?
Motherland, my love is fine and grand
My words of ivory wrap your land
On your sole soil, souls grow and expand
A pity I couldn't comprehend
What is happening to my homeland?!
In cage, dreaming of a promised land
On my life, you have the upper hand
My words if you feel and understand
My pain if you heal and put an end
Rise to a dare and hold a whip hand
The beast took hold of my fairyland
Reins of reign seized by anarchy bands
The world of lies, my ink couldn’t stand
The rain of words beyond my pen's hand
Homeland, if only you apprehend
To your turmoil I can't be offhand
Forgive my passion to a twin land
World of Ivory, my wonderland!

This planet-child of God has so much wondrous beauty and it's filled with souls light and dark. We each have a choice and way too many choose to live in the darkness. Nevertheless, there's always faith and hope to hold onto.

I can feel the emotional output which you inserted in these passionate lines of yours, Besma. The whole world seems to be going crazy; hate and greed for power are taking the upper hand; peace and love swept aside to accommodate abusers! But let us not lose hope. I believe in justice, and hopefully all will reap what they sow. ~ Warm regards // paul

A very sad reality of life Besma, how sad these crimes happen in todays world, sadly it is greed and money talks, rather than the welfare of others..

Indeed, and we are the ones who suffer most! Having a deeper awareness of the troubles and chaos infecting the whole world plus the bitter feeling of unwillingness... Always a great delight and an honour to have you on my page Silent One. Thank you so much. My deepest regards and Blessings.

Besma, my dear soul sister, I have missed you - glad to see you back. As usual a poem which your heart and soul have urged you you to write - wonder words, but evil spirits lurk - they will pay one day! Unfortunately it is money and greed that spins this evil, lucrative business, probably rich politicians and multi billionaires who for them is not enough, they want still more and the innocents have to suffer. Lots of love - exquisite poetry my dear Besma. Poetry hugs, Jennifer.

So elegantly you wrote a tribute to your homeland! Passionate words speak of pain and dysfunction, as you wish for things to get better. I feel a sense of resignation for no one can fight the evil power. Your poem is a FAVE for me..as it speaks to your pride for the nation. An excellent write, Besma.

There is so much evil in our world today Besma, much from evil doers in the name of religion but what religion is that, that condones evil acts. True religion is about love and respect for fellow human beings whatever their beliefs. Well written. Tom.
