Mother Tree
Listen to me, your sacred tree mother
Feel my bark against your finger tips
I am the quiet when you are overwhelmed
The strength of spirit when you are wounded child
Lean against my trunk in your sorrow
And I will give you my heart
Hug me with your own dreams to encircle me
And I will fill you with my energy
I hold the song bird on my arms as they sing
The sun rests warmly upon my shoulders,
As it kisses my wrinkles with fortitude
The laughter of the brooks voice uplifts my branches
So when you caress me in your prayers
Blessings of the forest instills silently with your faith
Breath me in, breath my life
Be my eyes as you walk through me
Protect my wisdom so we can live in harmony
You are in me as I am you
The soul and decay that harbors the ancestors
Keeper of secrets, stories, truth and myths
Spread your arms wide while you root
And you will know me completely
