Mother and Me

I was deprived of a father at the early age of thirteen. Then, there were mom, grandma, eleven siblings, and me. Based on her accomplishments with my siblings and me, and observing first hand how she sacrificed her life for us, mother is without a doubt at the very top of my hero list. She never remarried, but still, we grew strong and thrived. Yes, I missed the guidance and wisdom of a loving father, but she mothered gently without ever trying to father me. I remember being in a room alone tearing over our dad who had died before he reached sixty, but I moved on. Very little stalling and never stuck; thanks to our mom. She did not shove, or nag; but she pruned me tenderly with love, and I blossomed manly by her green thumb. She observed the direction of my bent and nurtured me with encouragement, making me proud to be her son. I was the fourth of 12 children, eleven of whom were minors when daddy passed on, and mother was only thirty-five. At the time of his passing, the oldest was seventeen, and the youngest was nine months. Though our numbers were many and mixed, I felt no shortest of love from mother. She never attempted to change, detour, or repackage me. By so doing, we developed a trusting mother-son relationship. 050320PSCtest, Regal Royal Relationships. Sponsored by: Chantelle Anne Cooke. 2P
