Suddenly, like many days, I forgot my mom has passed on; jolted back to "reality." I will enjoy Mother's day nonetheless, being a mother and celebrating the children and grands God has blessed me with. We often find our comfort, not by looking backwards, but looking at the present. I tell myself, how blessed I am, that I had my mom for so long, though I didn't think she'd leave us as soon as she did. Even more so, the shock within the same year that my aunt, on Dad's side, who we thought would live into her 90's, passed away in her sleep at 75! We need to enjoy each day. Don't forget to hug your moms today, at least with a phone call. Have a blessed Sunday!

M a y I, you may play dress up with showers treat your crown to flowers trade in the cold for warmer hours M a y I, you may tiptoe outside whisper to the zephyr eye the blossoms as they sashay port and starboard M a y I, you may remember Mother’s Day with tears and smiles and cheers M a y I, you may look forward to Summer days with a plentiful garden of praise

Beautiful and uplifting to thank our Lord for blessings of past and those who've passed on, and present, so lovely Kim. I remember well the jolts of shock with those early first special holidays after my special aunt, then later with my mil, and again after the passing of my mom. So hard when you find a perfect gift or card, then, oh yeah :( I'd pray Jesus would give her a hug and send my love; I can't imagine a sweeter gift than that. I hope your Mother's Day was filled with blessings Kim <3

I lost my mum, my day, my youngest sister and worst of all my wife who would have had her birthday this month. Lovely poem though we never forget the dead.

So beautiful, the imagery shows the child within, "may I" needed to pass on and remember her memory, adulthood

"May I"- a very ingenius reference to the actual date of Mother's Day, too- just wanted to add that, the poem's wonderful, Kim <3

My heart hurts for both of you. The club we didn’t want to join. May God comfort you. I know he does, Tom. Thank you!
