this reminds me of a dog i had once, he would eat moths, i wrote a poem called the "moth Hound" that tells about it, it is on soup somewhere in the early poems. you wrote a great one, i will miss reading your poetry. thank you for commenting on Queenie my sweet little dog. i hope your dog does not have provo. that was what happend to Queenie she had her distember shots, but she still got it. so i will pray for your dog. i hope to be back on soup someday, thank you for your support.

I love this. Last year there was a moth on our screen door that had a wing span bigger than an average bird. It was green. I had never seen one that big before. It was amazing.

Wow! I just love this poem...so realistic! You speak the truth about the inner light, sometimes we are all on the screen wanting to get in so we can have the inner light! But, we just can't get there, can see it, but can't get there! Thanks for sharing, again awesome write!!

Yes, we always get them in the bathroom as we shower before bed - some are very beautiful, aren't they? Lovely observations, Sara

You should get a lot of views with this one! I love the title, very creative! Nice how the last line speaks of the moths wanting to be with light! Beautiful haiku Sara!
