Sonnet: Dedicated to Ginnie Newlin, past Poet Laureate, East Goshen Chester County, Pennsylvania U.S. A. Ginnie and I found a Luna Moth on her doorstep, Ginnie was 99 years old at the time. 10/1/19

My poet friend is a silkworm siren Telling me how a poem is meant to be Classic are her verses as if from Byron A Luna Moth's mental messages to me Only a week to live for her mating chore The poet Luna, Nature's manifestation Ofttimes urges me to compose much more Musings that trip poetic imagination Her beauty belies what her death may be Wings splay open for eyeful decoration This moon moth flies by night to destiny So she awakens silent supplication Luna's dying defies that she can't hide Says she'll meet me on the other side
