Most Treasured

Most Treasured As I roam my fantasy, Carried away by my imagination, I feel the breeze on my cheek, As these fantasical words I speak, The beauty of the setting sun, Unparalleled by anyone, As stars cluster up the sky, My imagination soars up high, But hazy clouds soon hide my stars, Like so many ghostly scars, On a clear cerulean face, The sapphire sky in this case, I spot Venus first of all, A scintillating speck so small, After the magenta bursts all show, Fireworks that glimmer and glow, After the divine beauty is shown, The presence of the moon is known, In a semicircle so neat, Are treasured the lovely memories of childhood sweet, As I try to spot Monoceros, I notice the beautiful glittering rose, The Carina’s stars all whisper, Some softly, some loud and clear, All hail the power of Mother Nature, Fair to each and every creature, As the caged birds all take high flight, While incarcerated are we in plight, So speaks my humble imagination, My greatest treasure. The thing that matters most to me, Helps me realise my dreams you see, With it I write, I read and live, Lets only the beads of creativity pass, this sieve, This helps me to write I believe, I hope it never leaves, Forever as long as I live. 04/03/2020 Strand Choice Y Sponsor: Brian Strand
