Morning Star

Eternal

             star bursts through night
                    
                      S-H-I-N-I-N-G

the rooster crows
no more denying
                             the King’s crown,

                     scepter —

                                 A-R-I-S-I-N-G

        the hope
         of glory

Son-rise song
     of Edenic choir
                    seraphic rejoicing



                                        squelched —
                                                 blackout ceasing
