Morning Observations
As ivy and wandering roses cling to the eastern fence
I can see, just past, the early morning sun greeting day
Such a marvelous way to bid welcome to the morning
As the scent of nature touches my senses, stimulating me
One bluebird descends from its perch seeking out breakfast
While the chirping young ones await the return with food
And I, alone with a heated cup of comfort, watch from my chair
Appreciating the balance and enjoyment of life beyond my own
