Morning Light

Morning Light

The calm that comes with morning light
Lying here... from an untroubled night

Alone, awake after restful sleep
No tears left, no tears to weep

Dreaming where dreams were never seen
Free from all that might have been

By myself with a pristine heart
to begin again; a brand new start

No more fear as I arise
No sadness here to burn my eyes

Only peace to guide my way
No more guilt to mar the day

My spirit rises in the sun
as life again has just begun
