you utterly moved me,
as Monet's
impressionistic wildflowers
our love grew,
flourishing amidst
poetry's cultivated gardens
'Til you fashioned
yourself subsequent to
Van Gogh's insanity,
leaving me beside myself
now, I want to cut off
more than your ear
