More Than Enough

There were six of them involved in the heist.
Only one told the truth.
She lost almost all of her “friends”.
They lived in a small town in the midwest.
She thought it would be okay to stand up.
Instead, she was ostracized and bullied by their relatives for years.

The only one with integrity to stand up and tell the truth.
She paid for it for the next sixty-two years.
Not garnering any relief until she reached heaven.
Angels surrounded her and gave her comfort at last.
They told her how beloved and cherished she was.
They told her how much they admired her.
It was more than enough.

Tom Caren Krutsinger July 22, 2022 at 9:09 PM It is not easy, but I have done it - usually the wrong way - SHRIEKING at a college professor for example. (A college professor whose wife asked me to paint a cartoon of that college professor, a college professor whose child I adored as a school counselor- so hahahaha!)
