More Human Than Humans

I stood at vantage point on a hill and watched, non-humans behave humanly- amazing it was! Rats in their social life play, wrestle, giggle and engage in mock tags of war Otters giggle with each other and laugh heartily Orca whales have ritual greetings in their pods Wolves fierce have strong social bonds; play wrestling and mock fighting most times Penguins play most of the day, call each other and glide as kids on snow for amusement Lions are very social. Young cubs play with adults Elephants live in committed groups- joke, are silly and are best comedians in the wild Pigs are very intelligent and playful But monkeys are cunning, tricky, laugh and create practical jokes as they jump up, down trees Cats, dogs- human pets love to play, tease, mock fight Weaverbirds hold press conferences, sing in festivals I sat back, closed my eyes and thought deeply; crude animals more human than humans? Why do humans hate, fight, kill their own species while crude animals without rationality do not? why are wild animals humane to their own species yet humans can be extremely wild to their own? The more questions I ask the more questions emerge But I fell asleep before I could obtain answers!
