More Heartache

I want to throw up my hands and scream "my life sucks"!
It's just not possible for a person to have so much bad luck.
Typhoons of turmoil are not the norm.
I can't seem to outrun this storm.
So the rain angrily pounds against my window pane.
The wind harshly whispers your name.
Days like these I find myself emotionally drained,
unstable, and unable to get up off my knees.
The pain continues to squeeze me.
Heartache remains religiously.
How is it possible to escape such a feeling?
When more heartache occurs in the time of healing.

I bury my face in my palms.
Those memories are like nuclear bombs.
        Crashing into my minds eye.
At times I'm so overwhelmed I want to lay down and die.
I try and pick up the pieces and move on.
It's difficult because I'm doing it all alone.
No shoulder to lean on and those so-called-friends gone.
How much more can a soul take?
When I continue to go through more heartache.

Jimmy, in 2004 I paroled from prison with $200.00 gate money and approx $85 of off my books - I had a lifetime habit of cooking Meth and slamming Meth & heroin - needless to say I know the feeling - One day at a time, one choice at a time, and one crisis at a time is the way out of that type of hole - I wish you the best - - Congratulations on having your poetry featured this week, God Bless, MJ

Jimmy, Congrats for your feelings being featured this week. Stay strong and come out stronger. There is that saying: "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger...." I have been to Hell and back, believe me!!! I know!

My sediments exactly as I sat in jail for 4 months- No truck or job and all my friends gone. My pad, clothes and dog all gone. Visits Ha- not a one. But I knew my girl, strong, devoted and loving to an end that didn't exist. On the phone she'd say`you are my heart, and if they keep you one more day past ... I am coming there to break you out`
