Moonrise Above the Firth

Light shimmered on the lake at moonrise
a breathtaking view that glimmers
Lively serpentine swimmers
flow below astral skies
Ripples, side by side
roil to provide
reflections
on the 
tide.
*
Ride
a wave
as enslaved
'Neath Luna's pale
luminance, they sail
upon waters of Earth
Calm, the night above the firth
except for lonesome, cooing doves
thirsting, like me, yearning to be loved

Jenna, such sublime poetry flows through your talented fingers. The nonet flows smoothly like the light shimmering on ripples, the hybrid of nighttime nature and longing for love is a match made in heaven.
